Read MoreI knew Mr. Decker for just a short time nearly 40 years ago, when I took a couple of journalism courses with him at EMU. He was a good, kind man. I remember meeting with him and a few fellow students at a bar/restaurant on Cross Street to discuss classwork. I'm happy to see he had a long, full life... with so many people who loved him.

I took several of Mr. Decker's classes at EMU. I liked him both as a teacher and as a person. He was funny, kind, and patient. Rest In Peace.
