Not sure what to say?

Mr. Ethington,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USN in the Pacific fighting the Japanese during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Fair Winds And Following Seas

Edward: Bernard was the eldest of my family cousins. It was very nice to see him at the Ethington Family Reunion 4 years ago. He was always so pleasant. And was very warm in talking to my wife Edna. I remember saying goobye at the Des Moines Airport. Our regard and prayers for your family.

Eddie, my thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I was saddened to hear the news about your father. I pray that your family will find comfort and support knowing that he is at peace.
Friends always,

Rest in peace Bernie, Your work on earth is done. Go to eternal rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. My pleasure was to have known you, my regret is in your leaving us.

As a daughter of two WWII Pacific Theater veterans, I want to tell you I appreciate Bernie's service to our country. It hurts to lose WWII veterans. May God richly bless his legacy.
