Mr. Fauber called me after he heard I was promoted out of Kresge #115 Oakland Mall in Troy, Michigan - Congratulated me and mentioned he would miss our Friday night chats when he brought his wife shopping at the mall. That call meant the world to me. RIP

Ben and I go to know each other when I bought the house next door to him in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. After moving to Boston he asked me to come back to Michigan and join him to revolutionized Kart's use of technology. I was the first Vice President recruited from outside the company which made both of us very proud. My family and I had the great privilege to visit him in Ojai. He was an extraordinary business executive and friend.

I was young back then and learned much by watching how he treated everyone with the same respect, kindness and caring, regardless of the position they held. Darlene and family, I am sending you prayers for...
