Not sure what to say?

Dianne, I just ran across Bernie´s obituary. I am very sorry for your loss. Bernie was one of a kind. It was always a pleasure to be in his presence. God bless you and family. Bill

The greatest man I´ve ever known. I experienced my first fishing trip, learned how to swim, learned how to play pool, got better at basketball along with so many mavericks games and golf range dates. I miss my grandfather so much. So much life advice and financial advice with laughter mixed in. The intelligence made him great, the humor made him human. I love him with my whole heart and I am so blessed to have had him apart of my life and upbringing.

He was my grandfather. He did a lot for my family, he was always there. What I needed to pick me up, or an ear to listen to when I was talking. I love him with my whole heart, he used to tell me the story of The Raven by Edgar Allan poe. And we used to read Edgar Allan Poe together. I miss him dearly everyday, and I know God is taking care of him up there. He had an amazing sense of humor, and a conversation wouldn't be complete with him without some politics sprinkled in. And sometimes, I do...

I served briefly with Bernie on the City Council in 1996 and was on the P&Z Comm when he got elected in 1991. I worked in his Campaigns and we were both in the Metrocrest Rep Club. I just learned of his death today. RIP my friend!

Bernie was a pillar of the business community and a cherished member of the WGU Texas Advisory Board. His passion for empowering others through education and his unwavering dedication to creating opportunities for all will leave a lasting impact on those who had the privilege to know him. He will be deeply missed by all of us at WGU.

Sending thoughts, prayers, positive vibes, and my truest condolences to Diane and the entire family of Bernie Francis. I had the pleasure of meeting Bernie a time or two, and his welcoming, warm embrace immediately was something to remember him by. I am deeply sadden to hear of his passing. Bernie and Diane have always been amazing individuals that instantly make a person feel welcome and valued. Diane, I am so sorry. May you find strength during this trying time. My heart goes out to you....

I was very saddened to hear of Bernie`s death. I´ve known him for over 45 years. We´ve had so many great conversations about politics and life in general. He will be missed.

Bernie was a cherished member of our DFW Veterans Chamber and also a good friend and mentor. His ideas and views influenced me at a personal and also work level. He always carried himself well and was proud of who he was and more importantly changing the world one person at a time. He will most definitely be missed. Cristie/ President of DFW Veterans Chamber.

I am so sorry for the loss of Bernie Francis to his family and the world of higher education in Texas. I have had the good fortune to serve with Bernie over the last 15 years or so on the WGU-Texas advisory board. Bernie was brilliant, always laser-focused on students and had a great laugh. I looked forward to our meetings to learn from his ideas and was always engaged by his infectious energy. Bernie served as a volunteer and gave generously with his time to WGU Texas.
