Not sure what to say?

I often think of Bernie and recall our shared Scouting and Catholic faith. We had many good discussions about both. He was a good counselor and mentor. I miss sharing adventures in both Scouting and faith. One of his Air Force tales was about landing on "a postage stamp" aircraft carrier when recovering Apollo 11. I remember him in my prayers.

Bernie made a lasting difference in my career through his example and involvement. I enjoyed many Scouting and faith adventures with him. He made a difference in many lives in the Air Force, Scouting, church, and family. I will greatly miss our visits and his Air Force stories.

Barbara..
It was certainly a pleasure to have met your sweet Bernie at Good Sam... I am sure he is in the arms of the God whom he loved and who loved him! Thank you for calling the other day. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I remember then Captain Fritz when I was a member of the then 83rd ATS stationed Fort Vancouver. Bernie was a great guy who always had a smile and a good word for you. He was a leader who made your job easy and fun.
