Not sure what to say?

Barney, I can't believe you're gone. It hasn't been the same at the IU since you went back to Chicago. I'll miss your funny sayings and your wisdom, you knew a little bit about everything. I'll make sure Lauren Taylor grows up learning your phrases (well some of them).

Give Edward T. a big hug and tell him we sure do miss him! I bet at the pearly gates you had a huge welcoming party of the old IU gang. Make sure you keep them happy and laughing!

God Bless you...

I can`t tell you the impression that Barney made on me during my early Union days at Local 1...then to find out that he would show up at the same saloon that I would meet my Dad at and share his wisdom was always a joy and lots of laughs...Barney was 1 of a kind..always interested in what you had to say, always interested in your opinion..I`m sure he is with his good friend Mr.Hanley continuning the stories and the laughs...

Barney.....one of a kind, so much laughter/knowledge he gave us all. The sparkle in his eyes when he was telling a story will never be forgotten. We enjoyed Barney's prescense, his life. He was a gifted person, and made us all laugh. We will miss you Barney our friend. You were the best for the Union.

My thoughts and prayers are with Barney, his family and friends. Ever since Barney returned to Chicago many years ago I have thought of him often. He was one of the bright spots of my union days. I have since and will continue to miss all of his colorful stories and anecdotes. He was a great person and would do anything for you. God Bless you Barney.
