I remember telling my mother that I did not want to switch to see an adult doctor when it became time to, because I liked Dr. Hankin so much. He was a great man.

We were so very sorry to read of the death of Dr. Hankin. He provided outstanding care for our three children for many years.
One of our sons was stricken with meningitis at the age of two and as a result was totally deaf. He was cared for by Dr. Hankin until he went to college. Dr. Hankin not only attended to his medical needs but was a compassionate, calming influence on our whole family.
He epitomized the definition of a pediatrician.

Dr. Hankin was such a compassionate, reassuring, and wise doctor to me and my children, now aged 21, 18, and 11. When I brought my daughter Naomi in with a high fever and rash, he instantly diagnosed Kawasaki disease and sent us directly to Children's Hospital. Without that astute diagnosis, which led us to the most expert care in the United States for this curious disease, Naomi might have suffered severe heart damage. Her symptoms were atypical and she was a little old to fit the typical...

I'm sure that I am one of hundreds of moms whose children were well taken care of by Dr. Hankin. His gentle demeanor, sense of humor and knowledge made him the best doctor I could have had for my kids. My grown boys will be devastated as am I. Our deepest sympathies,

I knew him only thru my work @rush north shore, but Dr Hankin was a gentle caring person/physician. Never needed him as a pediatrician, but others who did, had the oppertunity to have one of the best take care of them. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hankin family.... nancy o'meara

I can remember Dr. Hankin's smile and how we would laugh as he thumped my stomach during check ups. Being ticklish, as I was, he would crack up when I cracked up and I always left feeling better, At 49 with two grown up kids of my own, never found a more caring man with the perfect touch. My condolences to his family.

Dr. Hankin was not only a wonderful doctor but a kind and gentle man we considered our friend. He was our family pediatrician for over 20 years. He will be greatly missed. Thank you for taking care of our family.
