Not sure what to say?

Laura, I want to express my sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your father. He lead a long and interesting life full of distinguished and personal service. I know you are proud of him and his many accomplishments. May God give you comfort and fond memories of him. Sincerely, Betsy Chambers

I extend my sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Hietbrink. He was, indeed, a very special man. Bernie was my major advisor in the M.S. program in pharmacology at SDSU. He was a gifted academic, and a master teacher who became my mentor and a friend for over 50 years. He always taught me most by being who he was.

We are sorry to know the death of Dean Hietbrink. He hired me as a faculty at the college of pharmacy at SDSU and served as mentor for all my academic career. My wife and I offer our prayers for peace to his departed soul and comfort to bereaved family.

We are sorry to know the death of Dean Hietbrink. We lost a visionary academician who is responsible for the current growth and development of the College of Pharmacy at SDSU. He hired me as a faculty and served as a mentor for my own academic career. He will be dearly missed. My wife and I offer our prayers for peace to his departed soul and comfort to bereaved family. Peace! Peace! Peace!

Deanne, your fellow 1969 Brookings, SD highschool sends my sympathy on the loss od your father. I unfortunately did not know him well, but, from his ibituary he lived a long, happy and fullfilling life. No matter how much time we have our parents, it is so hard losing them. You have my sincere condoleances. Hugs Deanne. R.I.P. Bernard.

He was my mentor in grad school nearly 50 years ago. Great guy who is frequently in my thoughts. Great smile and great attitude. Jerry Wannarka

We appreciate and use the communion table he built for Faith Reformed Church in Brookings SD.

For Laura and family... What a wonderful tribute to your dad! I know you were glad to have him here. Deepest sympathy for your loss. Blessings, Betsy Chambers
