I remember Bernie from the old neighborhood around Almira School. Bernie was in the St. Ignatius Grade School class of 1957 and I was in the class of 1955.

I have known Bernie for over forty years. I first met him on Kelly's Island in the mid 1970's. We have been very good friends ever since. We have enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and social events together. We have also been known to enjoy a cocktail...or two, together. Bernie has always been there for me when I needed help with something, and I was always there for Bernie when he was in need. I'm proud to say Bernie was, and still is, one of my best friends.
