So sadden to read of Bernie's passing. He was a stellar member of the Staten Island Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa and I was privileged to call him a friend. His infectious smile will always be remembered. He truly will be missed by his family, friends and educational colleagues. I know his family will miss their personal Santa. The world is a better place for having Bernie in our lives. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
