you don't know me, I live in Grass Valley but I was so moved by Bernie's poem and insight that I had to let you know. I also wore the sailor's uniform (USN) so I had a special kinship. I am so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. My wife & I worked with Bernie @ Fritz's Patio back in the late 80's I can honestly say Bernie was the best boss I ever had, & being in Sales I have had a few. Bernie was an outstanding peddler ( salesman ) but anyone that knew him knows that. We had not seen him in over 10 years & thought of him often, just last week we went to an estate sale @ his old house on Traci Lane & again we wondered, how's Bernie?
