Mr. McCracken was my Algebra Teacher when I was a student at WHS from 1977-1981. He, like Mr Mueller (who had just passed away as well) always tried to get the very, very best from me in the classroom and was very passionate and compassionate in his approach in doing so. Mr. McCracken gave me a deeper understanding of algebra and a desire to master math. He was respectful and firm; a standard today's teachers should strive for! Thank you, Mr. McCracken for truly blessing my life. Your knowledge became the foundation of my home schooling approach with my own children. Thank you to your family for sharing you unconditionally with so many other "children".

Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family upon this great loss. Coach McCracken will always be remembered by me as a man of integrity. One of the coaches that had a tremendous impact on my life and was instrumental in the choices that I made in my life following graduation from WHS in 1964. May he rest in peace.

A man's wealth is not measured in money or gold but rather in the lives he has touched or those he has served well. Based upon this premise, Mr. McCracken should be in Forbe's Fortune 500! The wealth of education, life's lessons, sportsmanship and unselfish acts he imparted upon his students in over 30 years of teaching, truly provide a legacy to his family that rivals any of history's great men. So many of Mr. McCracken's students today can say "I know I'm who I am today because I knew...
