Bernard J. "Bernie" MOORMAN

Watching Kentucky play in the semis and remembered how much a fan Don was. My husband and I were married in the front room and I had my own key to a room where I stayed almost weekly. I have been in FL for many years and was not aware that both Don and Bernie had passed. I have such fond memories of both of them. God blessed me to know them.

Went by the old place yesterday with Phelan; we laughed about the "Rubber Band Wars" with you and Don. I am so glad my children got a chance to meet you... thanks always for your friendship. I miss you both. JT

I met Ben (I've always called him Ben) during his first run for city commissioner in October, 1971 when he was doing door-to-door campaigning in Latonia. We became friends right away and kept in touch over the years, an on-again, off-again kind of thing. Unfortunately, it was during one of our off-again periods that he passed away, and I just found out about it this past week.

Ben's passion for Covington was grounded in his ideals of integrity and respect, for others as well as...
