Not sure what to say?

As always for your kindness to me and your fraternal attitude to me, God rest your soul in Eternal Happiness and Peace.

What an AWESOME and Fraternal Pastor. Enjoyed working with me very much.

My deepest sympathy on learning of the death of Fr. Bernie or BJ as we used to call him in C'ville. He was my pastor at St. Monica and I was his Associate. He was a great priest, pastor and very nice to be with and work with. He had other Associates when I arrived and then it was just He and I. He started the great diaconate program at St. Monica and produced the Second Class of Deacons for the Diocese of Rockford. I am glad to have been there with him as his Associate and glad to have known...

I knew him as Bernie, outside of the Church, and after he had retired. His kindness and words of wisdom will be missed. Our family will never forget him. My heart is broken.

Father Mullane was a dedicated priest and a wonderful person. May he be welcomed into his eternal rest with great rejoicing.

Saddend to read of Father Mullane's passing. I remember when he was assigned to the Pro Cathedral St James of Rockford. Father Norbert Richter would gently remind parishioners that St James had a profound history in Rockford. Rest in peace Father Mullane.

We attended many masses of Fr Mullane at St Patrick Church in McHenry. He was one of the nicest men we have ever known. Please accept our sympathy and prayers. He will be missed by many.
