FROM READING BERNIE'S OBIT, I BELIEVE HE ACCOMPLISHED MANY THINGS AND WAS HELD IN HIGH REGARD BY THOSE WHO'S LIVES HE TOUCHED. MY SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY AND I WILL REMEMBER HIM IN MY PRAYERS.

Bernie O'Connor was my tennis coach at Wahlert High School back in the early '70's. I also babysat for his children. To this day, I consider him one of the finest men I have ever met. By the way he lived his life, he taught me some valuable life lessons so I can only imagine the impact he has had on his children and grand-children. How lucky they are! My deepest sympathy to his children.

I AM REALLY GLAD THAT THE SIX OF US WHO ENLISTED IN THE COAST GUARD TOGETHER WERE ABLE TO HAVE OUR LITTLE REUNION A FEW YEARS AGO AND THAT BERNIE DID ATTEND. HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL OF "THE SUPER 6"
