I was saddened to hear of Dean O'Kelly's passing. He is in a good spirit world now, with no more suffering. He will be missed by the Indian Studies Department. I have been the Secreatary here since l985, and there wasn't time when I would meet Dean O'Kelly that he would greet me with my first name. It made me feel very special..He was a great gentleman.

I was sorry to hear of Dean O'Kelly's death. I have great memories of him at UND. He made Indian Studies and my career there possible. He only told me a little of how he got IS in Arts and Sciences, but I was always thankful for his insight and support. I always think of him as being a dean in the best sense of the word.
