We have lit a candle alongside mother's who passed on Palm Sunday, and Carol's. We had many phone conversations toward the end of your time and your passing took me by shock. But, mother was so happy that Carol made you such a better man than you ever thought possible. Carol was your rock. May you rest in peace, daddy. You will be missed.

Uncle Bernard was the last member of my father's family, the last of seven siblings. Theirs was a jovial, loving family, with whom I spent many a vacation as a child, as we would take the road from Greenville, MS to Pine Hill, AL every chance we got. My father, Ernest Vesper Pritchett, was the oldest of the seven, and shared many stories of his siblings growing up on a farm in south Alabama.
