Not sure what to say?

Chief Reilly was a great man and police officer and police chief... He was ahead of his time in his views of how local policing could be done. Gave Lebanon residents a police department that did as well it could with what resources it had. Also from personal experience he gave hands on policing on active incidents while he was the Police Chief...

Dear Suzie & family,

Your Dad was a former classmate, knowledgable of many things, one who never stopped learning & teaching. We felt safer having him for our next door neighbor when we both lived on S. Hanover St. We were always proud to call him our friend.

May warm memories of both of your parents help to bring you peace.

With Deep Sympathy,
Marilyn & Marlin

Barny and I were best friends from grade school until I moved from lebanon in 10th grade. I feel fortunate to have had him for a friend. As a child he was a great guy I told him he was either going to be a policeman or a priest. So long old friend wish I had stayed in touch.

Our Deepest Sympathy to Your Family

I've know Bernie for 42 years, he was a patrolman at the time we met on a traffic stop, yes i was the one he had stopped. He gave me a warning and had me laughing before he left. I met Bernie again while working at Lebanon County Dispatch and we've been friends ever since. Thought out those years we shared many of good stories and jokes. Bernie could always made you smile, you could never get one up on Bernie because he could always come back and get you with a better one. He is going to missed.

Deepest sympathies to the family.I got to know Bernie through our Stoevers Dam re-enactments and he had an ancestor in the 93rd Pa. and our mutual interest in the Civil War History. He always made time to talk.Dennis and Sandra Shirk

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

To Becky, Sue and family,

I had the pleasure of getting to know your Dad toward the last year of his life. It was evident that this was a man a superior character and integrity. He displayed such grace even in the face of such terrible news. His only concern was for his family. His joy was talking about his children and grandchildren and remembering his wife lovingly with much dedication and devotion.

My husband Leo met your Father as a firearms instuctor in Harrisburg to...

Dear Cousins,

We will treasure that memory. Barney was loved by all who were blest to know him.He was a blessing to the Reilly Clan, and we know his Irish eyes are smiling on us all! Our prayers are with you
