Not sure what to say?

Michelle, Liz, Patti, Hunter, Asher, Atlas ~ and all who so loved Barney Rice...

As I've told you, the tragic story of Barney's death initially puzzled me enough to want to learn more about a healthy man passing at such a young age. It didn't seem right.

The mystery shrouding his death was something I wanted to know more about as a writer. But the more I spoke to all of you, the less I wanted to solve the mystery and the more I wanted to know about the man himself - and why...

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't begin to know what you are going through. I always tell my loved ones that if I die while training or racing, to please remeber that I died doing what I loved doing.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Barney was loved by all of us and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers (and all of the the Preston family's) go out to all of you. We know how close and important family is.

I just now heard of Barneys tragic and untimley death. There can be nothing worse than losing a child-no matter their age. I remember Barney as the sweet little 3 or 4 year old boy that went to the zoo with some of us from the "Dealer 20 group" either in Denver or Colorado Springs. May God ease your sorrow & sustain you in your grief at this time and especially during the coming holidays.

I am so sorry about your loss. I was in Florida supporting my brother in that same Ironman. From what I have read about your husband he sounds like a very good person. My heart goes out to you and your children.

My love and prayers go out to all of the Rice Family in this time of sorrow. Barney was truly an amazing person and will live on in the hearts of everyone.

With deepest sympathy,

Missing you already Barney. I'll make sure and take Hunter golfing.

I am so saddened to hear about Barney. Since the Ironman, I have thought about him often and wondered who this person was and hoping he was okay. I was shocked to read on a tri forum of his passing. My heart aches for the family . I wish you love, support and prayers.
