CHEBOYGAN — Bernard John Scheele, 84, of Cheboygan, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in the Hospice Butterfly Room, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Lucille; 11 children, Gerald Scheele of Petaluma, Calif., Robert (Bonnie) Scheele, Roger Scheele, and Allen (Karen) Scheele of Traverse City, Dennis (Margot) Scheele of Interlochen, Gregory (Carolyn) Scheele, James (Marji) Scheele, Richard Scheele and John Scheele of Cheboygan, Janet (Wayne) Aldrich of Hansville, Wash., and Renee (James) Brown of Grayling. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 14, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church in Cheboygan. The Rev. Paul Megge will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Bishop Baraga School, Mass Intentions, or to a charity of one's preference.
