Thirty years ago Bernie and I worked together on a 30-story apartment building at Clark and Chestnut. He was the foreman for Maron Electric, and I worked for the general contractor. Over the past 30 years I thought of Bernie many times. Mostly, I remember his positive attitude, cooperativeness and intelligence. He was a man that knew his work and did it well.
