Dad was born in Newark, NJ to the late Arthur and Mary (Grant) Schroeder and was raised in Jersey City, NJ. He is survived by his spouse of 61 years, Dorothy Hein Schroeder, his five children: John (Laura Rideout Schroeder), Mark (Lynn Ratner Schroeder), David (Susan Dugan Schroeder), Stephen (Morgan Coffey Schroeder) and Amy (Benjamin Blake Propst).
