I am so sad to hear of Bernie's passing. I was privileged to be the Shaws' guest at very enjoyable concerts. Bernie would be working in the yard when I took walks in the neighborhood, and he took the time to chat. I first met Mr. Shaw when he played in pro-am events at professional golf tournaments, where I was employed. He was friendly, sincere and generous. I was impressed with his desire to know and speak the truth. I respect him and am grateful for his courtesies shown towards me.
