I went to law school with Bernard in Lubbock. We had not spoken alot since then but he was a very good friend. I was looking him up because I have business in Dallas and wanted to catch up. I have very fond memories of Bernard and am very saddened by his passing. A real loss. If anyone sees this could you respond and let me know what happened.

I googled you today and found this. Charley, I am so sorry. This is Theresa Reyna Chayes. I lived next door to you and your family on Clausen Street in El Paso, Texas. You were my best friend, I am so sorry we lost touch. My condolences to Karen and Arthur, I remember them and your parents so fondly. I thought of you often over all these years. How proud your family must have been of all your accomplishments. May you Rest In Peace my dear friend.

My thoughts and deepest sympathies. He was a wonderful man. He was my kung fu brother. I'm so saddened to hear of his passing. I'm certain he's watching down with our Heavenly Father. He will be greatly missed.

Something made me want to look you up on Google, and this is what I found. I'm so sorry I never got to say hi in person. You were a good friend all those years ago in El Paso on Clausen Street. I'm so sorry we lost you so soon. My condolences to Karen and Arthur. Laurie Moshier Linam

One of my dearest friends. You will be missed, Brother. I will miss our long conversations about trying to fix the plethora of problems in the world. I was the idealist. You were the realist. I am devastated my the loss. My condolences to his family and his circle of friends.

I worked with Bernard in Dallas for many years. We transitioned seamlessly from a professional relationship to a friendship in short order. In reading messages from friends and colleagues, the family may notice the words "true gentleman" used a great deal to describe him. It was one of the first things people noticed about him, and one of his most admirable traits. I hope that knowing how...

I worked with Bernard when he was at the Wichita Falls City Attorney's office. He was always so pleasant and a joy to be around. He was only here a couple of years, and part of that was in our other legal office, so our time together was brief, regretfully. But I have always remembered him very positively and had pleasant memories of his positive attitude and contagious smile. Blessings and condolences to his family and friends.
