Not sure what to say?

I was just in Key West and couldn’t help but remember some of Bernie’s stories. You are remembered, and often.

Bernie was my boss and truly one of the most memorable people I have ever known. A fighter pilot at heart he was loud and brash and a great guy to be around. Truly blessed to have known him. Back in the clouds, where I am sure he feels close to home. God bless you Bernie.

Bernie, my friend, I last worked with you 25 years ago, but you are often in my thoughts. Your courage, tenacity, and inspiration remain with me always.

What is remembered, lives.

I think about Bernie often; very often to be honest. He was a very large figure in my tenure at OCC/ICSI in the 1990s that many of my memories at the time have him interwoven in them. He was a strong man, a good man, and an excellent observer of the world around him. His words and his actions were gifts and I still open them and look at them today.
Blessings to you, Bernie, always. What is remembered lives, and you live on in my memory, and I am blessed that you do.

We were so sorry to hear of

Dear Darlene,

I just heard about Bernie today, and I am so sorry. He was a good man. He made my experiences at International Clearing Systems, Inc., so very enjoyable. Bernie was an excellent traveling companion and I always appreciated his stories, his savvy, and his desire to get things done. I learned a lot from Bernie, and I am thankful. Blessings to you and yours.

Darlene and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. I did not know him, but reading the guest book entries, he must have been an extraordinary person and loved by many. Please take care and prayers are going to you and your family.
Your cousin, Darlene Burns Anderson (Yes, I'm the "other" Darlene Burns in the family)

Aimee-
Please accept my deepest sympathy.
No matter how old we are, it's never easy to lose a parent.
Having lost a husband myself, my heart goes out to your mother.
May God grant you and your entire family His comfort, strength and peace.

Dear Darlene,
I have many great memories of good times with Bernie at The Options Clearing Corporation he was a good friend and mentor. His zest for life and good sense of humor were always a delight. He will be missed by many who knew him. I am very sorry for your loss.
