Bernard Weisser, Sr, 91, of West Deptford Twp., passed on January 15, 2012. Legacy Bernard was born in Philadelphia and moved to Woodbury as a child. He was a member of the Woodbury High School class of 1939. He served four years in the United States Navy during World War II. For many years, Bernard worked as an automotive technician for the Mobil Oil Research Division in Paulsboro from which he retired in 1982. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 100 in Colonial Manor, the Mobil Retirees Assn and the West Deptford Seniors Club. He enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling in his motor home as well as assisting others whenever they needed an extra hand. Family Bernard is survived by his wife of 69 years, Stella (nee Redfield) and father of Bernard Weisser, Jr (Dolores), and Linda Blowers ( Danny). Grandfather of 7 -- Brian Weisser, Christopher Weisser, Wesley Weisser, Timmy Blowers, Shannon Blowers, Shelley Blowers and Cheryl Blowers, Great Grandfather of 7. Brother of Leona Thompson and Feye Salvatore and the late Milford Winter, William Weisser, Mary Gomez and Beatrice Gill. Farewell Service Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. Family and friends may gather at 9:30am.
