Bernardo was my Father-in-Law but he was like a father to me. In 1963 when I went to join my husband Airman Bernardo Eureste, Jr. who was stationed at Biloxi, Mississippi; he made sure that the personnel on the Southern Pacific train took good care of me and our daughter Diana (who was 2 months old). At one point, one of the Porters came by and asked for me and said "your Daddy Eureste called to see if everything was okay." Since it was my first train ride, it made me feel so good and...
