I knew Bernie only through the jewelry store. Walking in was never intimidating as Bernie (as well as Gabe and Jonathan) would always greet you with a sincere and gentle smile. To see Bernie at that age, still happy and at work was admirable. More often than not he would have the magnifying lens on that would just intensify the genuine look of 'welcome' in his eyes - couldn't help but bring a smile to your face. I am sorry for the pain your family will feel over the loss of this kind...
