BERND BRECHER

Bernd was a Columbia College classmate, a leader, and a friend - an irreplaceable friend. I well remember visits together in Washington, DC when Bernd and his wife, Helen, came down to be with Helen´s mother, and they met my wife and me for dinners and conversations. I also have good memories of phone and e-mail exchanges. Many of us will miss Bernd terribly. Deepest condolences to Helen and all his family, friends, and colleagues.
