Not sure what to say?

"Bernie" never missed a school event.
I recall his generosity to his
son, Billy, and me during our school
years (Bronxville & Lugano) summer student European tours and, also, the
opening of his first restaurant. It sure doesn't seem like a half century ago since I saw Mr. Auer in his camel's hair coat walking in the village. I wish we could do it all
over again . . . . . . . I will
pray TO you and remember your kindness.

I first met Bernie in 1981 at his residence on Jupiter Island. I was a brand new Police Officer for the Town of Jupiter Island, and had been dispatched to Bernie's residence on a burglar alarm. Bernie met me as I drove up the circle to the front door, and from that day on I counted him as one of my friends on Jupiter Island. I retired from the Police Department in 2006, and Bernie was still living on the island, having moved from his original home to a house on North Beach Road. Bernie...

To the Auer Family: Jim and Mary Kay Farley are sad to hear of your loss. Bernie was an absolutely wonderful person. His spirits were always high, and he loved to play pranks on his friends.
Right now, I am sure that he is entertaining moguls in Heaven, and that they are loving every minute of his presentation.
He will be missed by many, many friends, but, as they say, TIME heals all wounds! Much love to all!

I give a salute to Uncle Bernie and heartfelt warm wishes to the family. My memories are of a charming host with stories of an incredible life. He is probably still entertaining people in heaven! Love to Aunt Carol and all. Kate McCoy Joy and Tim too

Debbie and I send our sincere sympathy to Mrs. Auer and the family. What a delightful man Mr.Auer was. I enjoyed visiting with him every Saturday while they were at their Jupiter Island home. He loved to talk of upstate New York, and such places as Pierrepont Manor and Ellisburg. He frequently asked me to bring him some Back Bacon when I visited my home in Kingston, Ont.. I will miss him greatly. "Cheers", Wesley Holden
