Not sure what to say?

I met and knew Bernice while at UMass. I sent her Christmas cards up until her passing. That was close to 35 years. SHE WAS SUCH A GREAT PERSON. i still think of her often. GOD bless her and her family, who she spoke often about in loving terms.

I am sorry to learn of Berice's passing in 2018, Bernice was the longtime coo and friend of all the brothers and sisters at Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity on North Pleasant St. Berice was not only the best cook on this Earth, she was a friend, confidant, genuine good person, a wonderful person in every respect. When I came home from the military in 1986, I visited briefly at a sorority at UMass that was fortunate to have Bernice. I shall miss her very much

Dear Patty and family, I was so sorry to see Bernice was gone. I spent many long hours in the kitchen with her and what a wonderful lady she was! Bruce would tell me about his visits with her and I drove out with him one afternoon to see her years ago. She still looked the same as I remembered her from 20 years before. I think of her every time I make the recipe she taught me to make, which I always called Bernice's Almond Pastry, You are in our thoughts. Wishing you the best, Dawn...

Hello Patty and family,

You don't know me but I have shared Christmas cards with your mom since the mid-1980s. Last year I did not get one in return from Bernice. This year (December, 2019) my card to her returned to me. I called my UMass friend, Dawn and she looked up this notice. Dawn and I worked our way through UMass by serving in the kitchen clean-up crew at Chi_Omega. That is where we met your most wonderful mother. She was the absolute best! She frequently told us about her...

Dear Patty, John, Joey, Austin, Mark and your families, We're so saddened to hear of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother's passing. I was fortunate to spend some time with her a short while ago while visiting my mom (we all visited together) and she was as warmly soft spoken, loving, and gracious a person as I remembered as a kid spending many Sundays and holidays at both her and Joe's home in Hadley and Leverett. The Church windows and her ambrosia (not to mention the grown-up...
