My memories of Bunny come from the music portion of her life. She was a wonderful bassoonist and was in high demand because of her proficiency on the large contrabassoon. We performed in various community orchestras together from the 70's through the 90's. Reconnecting with her at TC Williams High School during my time as Orchestra Director from 2004-2007 was a delightful surprise. I have many fond memories of my days at Wakefield. Bernice is one of them. Our paths have crossed a few times since then and each encounter reinforced my initial impressions: a genuine goodness wrapped in abundant joy and a love of fun. I always assumed our paths would cross again and it saddens me deeply to learn that is not the case. But I know we will meet again.
