Read MoreMy father, Edwin T. Bane, was Bernice's first cousin and lived in Wellsburg until 1945. He always spoke admiringly of Bernice and grateful for the years he spent living with her, her parents and her brothers. He admired her intelligence, wit and dedication to education. I was only privileged to meet her once, she was most gracious and told my sister and me funny stories about our Dad. Prayers to Sharleen.
