Bernice King

I will miss Bernice tremendously. There is no one I know who could match the word "class" so quickly to her essence. Along with that was her steadfast loyalty in friendship throughout the 35 years I worked with her and was lucky to have her friendship through those years. Mike and I will miss her greatly.
Our sympathy to her family for their loss of a sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. I'm sure her generosity and kindness will be sorely missed.

Dear Liz, I am not sure you will remember me. Our home in Hays was across the street from yours on Willow Street. I was a prime “babysitter” on the block and spent some time with you when your parents needed some childcare in the 60’s. Your mom was a wonderful woman, a role model, and a kind friend. As I look at her photo above, I remember her smile and her laughter. I am glad that she had a long, happy life, and I am sure that you and your family brought her much joy. Peace to all of you as...
