Dear Vonnie, Jean, & Robin,

Although we did not visit often when I was growing up in Pa., memories of visiting at "The Farm" or "The Cottage" are some of my most vivid memories from my childhood. Aunt Bernie was always a very strong, moral influence. I remember Grandma always proudly commenting on Bernie's nursing career and what a wonderful whistler she was. I always found her whistling intriguing.Although she will be missed, now she is with her "dear Elmer" and all her beloved...

I first met Aunt Bernie, as I called her, at Dian & Kevin's wedding when I was in my early teens. I felt an immediate connection with her. I don't know if I ever told her, but her positive comments and encouragement were very influential at such a tough age. We periodically kept in touch over the years. I always admired and respected her spunk and spirit. No doubt my grandfather Eugene's (her brother) shenanigans had a hand in making her tough as nails! I am grateful for Aunt Bernie's...
