Rest in paradise Bernice. Your smile, laugh and sense of kindness and love toward all man kind is truly a gift. You were a gift to many. My condolences to Philip, her boys that brought such pride to her. Peace.

I taught with Bernice for many years st Eastern High School. She was such an energetic and joy- filled teacher and person. It was such a special pleasure to know her as a friend and comrade. My heartfelt condolences to you, Kuol. You were in my class for a couple of years and I have such fond memories of working with you! You were such a great student! Your mom had such a liove and devotion for you! I know you will deeply miss her in your life. However, she will continue be in your heart...

Bernice was an amazing woman in so many ways. When we were at St. Mary's, she and I had a friendly competition to see which of us could sell more St. Mary's raffle tickets. She often won. She will be sadly missed. With our love and prayers, Joe and Laura Shawhan and family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
