Bernice Snow, formerly of Center Groton Road in Ledyard, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Groton Regency
She was born in Norwich on June 22, 1938 to Rutherford and Justine (Elliott) Fowler. She married the late Alan G. Snow on February 18, 1956 in Groton.
Bernice dedicated herself to her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed country music, playing bingo, and time with her family. She was the oldest of 12 siblings.
She is survived by two sons, Alan Snow, Jr. of Gales Ferry and Roger Snow of Norwich, two grandsons, Joshua Snow and Oliver Snow, nine sisters, Arlene Sears of Taftville, Justine Ayrton of Salem, Eleanor Michaud of Preston, Hope Burns of Willimantic, Marion Roler of Indiana, Gloria Lewis of South Carolina, June Cassidy of Jewett City, Lulu Fowler of Hope Valley, RI., Valerie Fowler of Groton and two brothers, Rutherford Fowler of Indiana and Henry Fowler of Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband and parents.
A private burial was held in Ledyard Center Cemetery. A celebration of her life is planned for later this year. Donations in her memory in lieu of flowers may be made to the charity of your choice.
