Dear Tom and Ned,
Hearing of your mother's passing brought a surge of memories of when we were young, growing up in Hampton Manor...and, your Mom's warm smile, quick wit and willingness to pass out a cookie or two! She really was a delightful lady. I know she will be greatly missed.

I just wanted to share a few thoughts since I could not make it to Aunt Bernie's funeral. Aunt Bernie was always so nice and truly never said a mean thing that I recall. She did like to pinch for sure which I wasn't thrilled with as a child but got a kick out of as I got older. I think my best memories were when we were all young and we sat on the porch to watch the Labor Day parade-it seems so long ago but it is a wonderful memory and something I will always cherish. Love and...

Your mom was such a wonderful lady. I remember her laugh, warmth and hospitality. (I don't remember her even blinking when the hoarde of Barker children descended (which was probably at least once a day !)
My memories of her (and indeed, of the whole family) are all happy ones.
My heart is with you, even after all these years.
My condolences and love

Sorry to learn of Bernie's death but I am so pleased that I had the opportunity to dine with her this summer during my visit north. I cherish the many happy memories during the glory days of the "Irish Mafia" What a bunch of rogues!
