Bernie was born on April 5, 1957 and passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016. Bernie was a resident of Washington, Missouri at the time of his passing. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Francis Borgia Church in Washington Burial in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery Visitation for 84 year old, Bernie Hillermann will be Sunday from 3-8 PM at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington. Memorials preferred to Washington Parks Department for Trees, Washington Chapter of Korean Veterans, Mercy Hospital Foundation, or American Diabetes Association.

Bernie was in my group of 3 on our Honor Flight in April of 2015. I had never met him before this. It was such a pleasure to be with him on the flight to Washington DC. Even though we served during different wars and branches ( he the Korean War ,US Navy and my self the Vietnam War,US Air Force) there is a special bond between fellow vets. He told us all about the family business and how proud he was of his family taking it over when he retired.Spoke fondly of all the staff too. I thank him...
