Bernie R. Pearson Sr., 68, of Newton, Kansas, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953, a retired Lineman for Williams Natural Gas Service, Hesston, Kansas, passed away at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas, on Thursday, February 17, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2000, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 East Broadway, Newton. Further visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 20, from 1-9 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Services are scheduled for Monday, February 21, 1 p.m., at Shalom Mennonite Church, Newton, officiated by the Rev.
