Not sure what to say?

This is me at almost 69 last week near Hells Canyon.

I was sorry to hear of Bert's passing but for him he is where he wants to be which is with his family that is there waiting for him. While living just down the street from him in Ucon, we did a lot of hunting together and I took him down the So. Fork of the Snake river fishing which he really enjoyed. I've never seen so many deer antlers in a garage as his, he was so successful and most of them came from the canyon we named after him which was Freed canyon.
To his family, celebrate his...

Dear Freed family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a great influence in my life! I have enjoyed hunting and the outdoors my entire life and I attribute a good share of that to your father! I always enjoyed listening to his hunting stories and I always enjoyed every conversation I had with him. every time I pass your old house in Ucon I still look over to see the monster Buck that used to hang in the living room! Blake, you and your family were lucky to have such a good man...

Dear Freed Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Bert's passing. I worked for Bert at the INL for five years. He quickly became my favorite manager of all time and still is today, as well as a really good friend. I have many wonderful memories of that time. After his retirement, I lost touch with him, and several years later while visiting in Brigham City, I ran into him at Walmart! We had a good chat. It was so good to see him. May God bless all of his family at this time and always,...

Bert Freed was one of the most influential people in my life as a youth growing up in Ucon. Blake was my best friend and I spent a lot of time in his home. What a wonderful example he was to me as a leader, and friend. I regret that we lost touch in the later years with the family. Bert and Blake will always have a very tender place in my heart and my memory. You both helped to shape me into the man that I am today. I will forever be grateful for your influence on my testimony of the restored...
