Not sure what to say?

2nd LT Bert W. Milling reported to the 493rd Bomb Group at Debach, England on 24 July 1944 and was assigned to the 863rd Bomb Squadron. He was a B-24 co-pilot and flew 22 missions with the 486th BG and then 10 missions with the 493rd BG.

On behalf of the members of the 493rd Bombardment Group (H) Association, I would like to pass on our sympathy to all of Bert's family and friends.

Sincerely,

David Schmitt
President & Historian, 493rd Bombardment Group...

To Bert & Pris and all of the Milling family - we pray God's comfort and grace be in your midst as you mourn the loss of your father, grandfather and great-grandfather. We send much love to you.
We are thankful your father was able to participate in the honor flight to DC last fall. His service to our country will not be forgotten.
God bless all of you.

Bert and Pris, We are sorry to hear of the loss of your father. We were out of town this week or we would have been at the memorial.

A love story that endured and continues through their children and grandchildren! May God continue to bless the Millings.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Milling family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of grief. He was always kind and considerate and will be missed by all. He was a great father and grandfather!
