Bert Sheldon

Dear Laney and Family,
It saddens me to learn that someone who made me laugh so much has been taken away from us. I worked at the Fontainebleau for Frank Margulies and Ben Novack from 1955 to 1962 and back again in l972 through the bankruptcy. Bert was a joy to be around in those early years and made a big contribution to the entertainment in the various rooms and lounges. I know his family will miss him terribly. God bless you all. I hope to see you at the memorial services.

To the family of Bert Sheldon: The passing of one of the last icons of Miami Beach's heyday has left me sad and nostalgic. Bert was a great friend of my late husband, Harold, throughout their many years of working together at the Fontainebleau. I will remember him fondly. Ruth Gardner
