Not sure what to say?

My husband and I will always remember Bert and Al Traver as one of the kindest couples we have ever known. They sold us their home on Beach Ave and we loved living in that house and that neighborhood for 11 years.

So sorry to hear this news. For the fifteen years we lived in Barton, I played bridge with Bert. Wednesday mornings at the Orleans Country Club , with all the ladies. My late husband, Doug and I played Duplicate Bridge with Bert and Al at Cobliegh Library and with Huguette Mc Inulty Black at her home. When Bert couldnt get to town we went out to her house. I remember the sign. Bert was a lovely lady and we had lots of laughs. She is missed. My deepest sympathy to all her family.

I truly enjoyed the quiet calm of Bert beside the gruff exterior of Al, both of whom I enjoyed greatly in my professional capacity as well as around the bridge table. I look back fondly at both of them. Rest in peace, Bert.

when i worked at the union house i liked visiting with bert

So very sorry for your loss. She was a very fine lady.

Bert was one of my favorite personswe often talked about life and cooking. One of her favorite things I made was my family’s Portuguese Soup recipe. She use to tease me by saying I should replace the kale for spinach, and I’d tell her no way!! She was our Queen Bee, she will be missed . Sending love and prayers to her loving family and Sue for not leaving her side till the very end. Xoxo
