Not sure what to say?

Just stumbled across this. Thank you guys, for these cool stories. Had no idea Grandma was this cool!!

I fondly remember Mrs. Vining from Stone School where I was in her 5th grade class. She was an absolutely fanatical Tigers Fan -- and convinced the school administration to pipe the 1968 World Series (Tigers v Cardinals) into the classroom during school hours. (Back then, there were no such things as televised night baseball).

Great lady. Incomparable teacher.

Rest in Peace.

Mrs Vining was my very favorite teacher at Stone School. The love she had for University of Michigan was so contagious. She had my brother Jeff Wilkins (then U of M drum major) come in to our class on
one of many fun fridays she loved him!!! Thank you for sharing Mrs Vining with us! She was one of a kind!!!

Went to go visit her with jeana.. She will be missed

Thanks to all for memories of our mom. We love and miss her dearly

Mrs. Vining was one of my teachers at Stone School. I was in her fourth and fifth grades back in 1974 and 1975. She is one of the best teachers I ever had. She started my love of all things related to the University of Michigan where I eventually went to school as well as marched in the Michigan Marching Band. I also grew up to be an elementary teacher. What a lovely lady she was!

She was a wonderful person and I have many wonderful memories of her.

Mrs. Vining was my teacher at Stone School for 4th and 5th grades. I went to my first U of M game with our class as a fieldtrip. As everyone knows she was a HUGE fan. She was a good teacher, fair and kind. A part of my childhood just passed and I'm so very sad. She is part of the reason I became a teacher.

My sons were paperboys to the Vining family in the early 80"s. They would love to ring the doorbell because it played the Michigan fight song. They also became big Michigan fans even though they live in Texas and North Carolina. I would drive them on occasion, to the Vining home and I loved to hear the fight song also. My sincere regrets at losing your mother.
