Not sure what to say?

I can´t believe that nine years have passed. Mari

I meet Mr. Knox in 1966 at the Munitions Building on Constitution Ave. as a high school summer employee from North Carolina. I was a messenger. Only 16 and Mr. Knox was just 30. Always inspired me. I came back to NC and never forgot how nice he was to me. Didn´t know he was gone. I am now 74. Billy Dickens

So sorry for your loss. Sending prayers. RIP!

Holding you in the light for all your laughs and support that I remember you shared with dad.

Bertell Knox gave me the greatest gift that anyone could to a musician: he spent his time teaching me to be a better musician! As I was preparing for the Theloniuos Monk Competition in 1992, he shared his knowledge of music, of the drums, and of the business of music, advice that helped me then and continues to be crucial today. He was an expert in his field and I will always be indebted to him for his generosity and patience.

Bertell, know that my love for you is eternal. You have taught me so much. Heaven, is swinging now..

Mr. and Mrs. Bertell Knox were the parents of a good friend of mine from Grade School. I knew them, too, as supporters of my old Boy Scout Troop (T333) at St. Francis de Sales Church and Elementary School. They were kind, talented, dedicated, courageous, generous, and purposeful. They were concerned Christians, dedicated Catholics, and focused on Civil Rights. Mr. Knox was a long-time musician and worked with many of the greats in American Jazz. I was honored to re-connect with Mr. and Mrs....

Bertell you were great muscian and friend thats how I got to know you and love you...you always made me smile when you played with Dick Morgan, my special friend.Primrose, you are a beautiful person who I feel priviledged to know you.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
