Not sure what to say?

Dear Fran and family,
I just heard about your loss this morning and my thoughts are with you all. Your mom was a wonderful rare individual who spent her life giving joy to all those around her. From our high school days when I first met her -- she made an immediate loving impression on all of us.

I know she will be missed by many but she lived a wonderful life and is up there laughing with your dad forever.

Phyllis, Fran and family, your tribute to Mrs Flint last night was amazing. Hearing the fond stories and descriptions of such an incredible woman were inspirational to my daughter and I. What an honor if felt to be there to share in the tribute.
Lovingly,
Ileana Murphy Haggerty and daughter Tess

Phyllis & Fran,
I'm so sorry about the loss of your wonderful mom. I know now that she is dancing in the heavens with the "man with the blue eyes", your dad. Bless them both.
Sherry, Steve & Stephanie Newell

Mrs. Flint was my 2nd grade teacher, and I loved her. I was sort of terrified of her, as well, because she could be very strict. Even so, we always felt her love. I will never forget how, on the last day of school, she would stop each one of us on the way out to tell us how important we were, what she would remember about us, and how she would miss us.

I saw her many times in the 30+ years since, and it was always striking to remember how a woman of such small physical stature could be...

I taught with Bertha early in my teaching career at John B. Allen School. We were in that fine old building which Reinie kept polished and spotless. Just before Bertha retired, Fran subbed in the building. I last saw Bertha at a Seattle School Retirees Assoc. meeting 3 or 4 years ago. She was still going strong then! My condolences to Fran and Phyllis and their families. I know you miss your mom very much. Remember the good times!

the home of bertha flint was one of many of my fondest childhood memories. my brother mike married phyllis flint in 1972, and our families spent many happy hours gathered there. their home was always filled with love and wonderful food. i remember lina taking me in her kitchen teaching me and my sister how to bake cookies!
