Dear Nancy Lee and David,

How could I possibly follow that wonderful tribute from Alan Wildblood? I never had the opportunity to meet your Mother, but I have a very good picture of what she must have been like, thanks to what was written. It brought back memories of my own extended family of grandmother, aunts and uncles, all now enjoying their reward for being such a special and caring part of my life.

Farewell to Aunt Bert,

In dealing with my sadness, and at the risk of being considered mushy, I would like to jot down a few things not found in the death notice.

Born in the days of Big Bertha, the later and late Mrs. Heath was named after her mother, first and middle. She had to deal with death at a tender age, losing her baby sister, and, when she was seven, her mother. My aunt was then raised by her grandmothers, Mary McGinnis and Hannah Walklett.
