Bertha Elaine Hoyle Kiser

Mrs. Bertha Elaine Hoyle Kiser, 88, formerly of Shelby Rd., Lawndale died Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at Morning Side in Raleigh.

Born April 24, 1916 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Laurel Edgar Hoyle and Bertha Lela Edwards Hoyle. She was a homemaker and teacher. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and she also loved writing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Webb Kiser, Daughter, Sandra Elaine Kiser Mabery, and brother, Dr. J.O. Hoyle.

Survivors include two grandsons and their wives, Josh and Renee Collins of Raleigh and Andy and Emily Collins of Wake Forest, a great grandson, Caleb Collins, a great granddaughter, Maylee Collins, and a son-in-law, Jimmie Mabrey of Lawndale. A graveside service will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Randy Bridges officiating. Visitation will follow the graveside service at the church.
