Bertha M. Loftus

This legacy popped up this morning. I smile remembering Bertha but am sad that such a beautiful person was taken from us eight years ago. I was in her wedding party right after we graduated from high school. We all thought that this was a match made in heaven but, years later, I learn that Bertha was most happy for her five children and perhaps lived a sadder life than known. I think of her beautiful voice that she shared with all of us. I pray for her happiness in the after life. Miss...

As a senior in Ware HS I broke the unwritten rule that a senior would never invite a freshman or sophomore to the senior prom. I did it in 1952 and I remember Bertha as a wonderful and fun person.
